Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota is best known for her installations of thread which she defines as a “presence in the midst of absensce.” Haunch of Vension is now showing OTHER SIDE, a large-scale window installation made entirely of found window frames from East Berlin and smaller boxed thread pieces webbed around personal found objects. If you are not familiar with her work, check out this short film.
